Kremer Built This Porsche 935 Turbo For Race Legend Mario Andretti

Though his career only included a single Formula One Championship title in 1978, Mario Andretti is nonetheless regarded today as one of the greatest race car drivers of all time. The Italian-American driver’s prodigious talent was routinely paired with some of the highest-performance, most cutting-edge race machines available, such as this astounding Porsche 935 Turbo that was built by the Kremer Brothers and DP Motorsport for Andretti to campaign.

Starting life as a 1985 930 Turbo, though it’s been fully rebuilt to Andretti’s exact desired specs. The Kremer Brothers (who won the 1979 24 Hours Of Le Mans) treated the Porsche model to Group B cams, a bespoke turbo system, and several other areas of massaging that have resulted in the car’s 500hp output. With the mechanical work done, the car was sent to DP Motorsport which fitted on all-new track-ready lightweight bodywork and beefier tires. Despite being imported to the US upon the build’s completion in March of ’85, Andretti, for whatever reason, never took delivery of this specimen (though it does say “built for Mario Andretti” inside the vehicle). Now available for sale at a Miami dealership, this Mario Andretti-Spec 1985 Porsche 935 TURBO By Kremer Brothers x DP Motorsport has an asking price of $325,000.
