People talk a lot now about the importance of having a work/life balance. The general sentiment now seems to be that folks need a separation between what they do for a living, and their personal life. Totally understandable. But if you really love what you do, as the owner of the Manzeum by Modus Studios does, you find a way to combined the two.
Located on 20 acres of land near Arkansa’s Ozark mountains, this home is essentially a metal workshop-turned-home. The whole concept started out as series of doodles on the back of napkins, eventually evolving into a full-fledged multi staged project that was designed around building out from an old attached workshop. The result of the efforts of both the owner and the folks at Modus Studios is a large building that incorporates both metal and wood into a broader aesthetic that feels equal parts agricultural and modern. The interior features a large downstairs area for entertaining, a cozy upstairs, and impressive windows for looking out on the large surrounding land. We’re not sure which part is better – having such a beautiful home, or being able to simply walk into your own workshop to do some wrenching.
