MANHART is extremely well-known within the automotive industry, thanks, in large part, to its exceptional tuning prowess. Earlier this year, it decided to take on Toyota’s newly-released Supra, bringing speed-savvy enthusiasts the acclaimed GR 450, and paving the way for its future alongside one of the genre’s most sought-after imports. Now, the brand has decided to turn up the heat with some new blood — the Supra GR 550.
From the outside looking in, the Supra’s sleeks body lines have been amplified through the implementation of an AC Schnitzer front fascia, sharp skirting, and an eye-catching golden wrap. Its ferocious aesthetic is complemented by the addition of H&R’s performance-enhancing lowering springs, as well as a set of satin black, 20-inch wheels, less-than-subtle racing lines, and a stamped performance exhaust system, should you deem it necessary. However, the true star of the show is the Supra’s enhanced 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine, which has been boosted to an astonishing 542 horsepower — almost 207 HP more than the stock platform — through the use of various ECU optimizations, a carbon fiber intake, and bolstered turbocharger. Head to MANHART’s website to see the maniacal platform in more detail.
