Manhart’s 823HP ‘MH8 800’ Is The World’s Fastest BMW M8 Competition

Manhart has never shied away from its soapbox. After all, the German tuner has built and designed some of the automotive industry’s most lauded aftermarket platforms. That’s all well and good, but it takes a special outfit to create the world’s fastest “anything,” let alone a BMW. Laying claim to fame, the brand has introduced its record-breaking M8 Competition — a luxurious monster that’s both beauty and beast.

Even from the factory floor, BMW’s M8 Competition is no slouch. It boasts a significant 625-horsepower output, a top speed of around 190 miles-per-hour, and a sleek, aerodynamic design that’s sure to capture a few glances whenever it hits the roadway. Apparently, this wasn’t enough for Manhart, who decided to gift the sports coupe with a dastardly 823-horsepower and 774 lb-ft of torque, making it the fastest M8 Competition in the world, and allowing it to hit 62 miles-per-hour in only 2.6 seconds. To achieve this dramatic transformation, the brand’s MH8 800-series has taken on its proprietary turbo kit, intercooler system, ECU, and ceramic-coated exhaust, helping the vehicle’s 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 to breathe more easily. Of course, a more aggressive body kit, KW’s height-adjustable coil springs, and an upgraded transmission have been included to alleviate the MH8 800’s additional stresses due to power.
