Maker’s Mark and Spiceology Concoct a Quartet of Spices in Time for BBQ Season

You’re surely familiar with Maker’s Mark’s array of accessible whiskeys, but now the famed Kentucky distillery is looking to move from spirits to spices. Working in collaboration with Spiceology, Maker’s has released a variety pack inspired by Maker’s Mark 46, the family-owned whiskey maker’s signature bourbon recipe.

The Maker’s Mark Spice Blend Flight Variety Pack features four seasoning blends that put a twist on American family-favorite dishes. For starters, the collection’s No. 46-inspired blend boasts a robust, sweet flavor with the perfect hint of spice, made with ingredients like dehydrated orange peel, brown sugar, and a trio of chili peppers. Next, the Everything Potato blend is a perfect way to shake up the average potato salad, fusing dehydrated garlic and green bell pepper with lemon powder and additional spices that will surely make it the talk of the cookout.

As one of the country’s most popular forms of protein, fried chicken gains some worthy acknowledgment with Fried & True, a smokey, garlicky blend with brown sugar, honey granules, and maple sugar tossed in for some much-appreciated sweetness. On the topic of keeping things sweet, the last blend in this collection is Mom’s Meatballs, which has the most unique list of ingredients, a trio of which include pineapple powder, lemongrass, and dried beer extract. We’ve never had meatballs that tasted like any of these, so we’re looking forward to seeing what the hype is all about.

Add some flavor to your Fourth of July meals with this delectable collection of Maker’s Mark-inspired spices, which is now available on Spiceology’s site for $30.
