Makerball DIY Pinball Machine

Ever since we were kids, we’ve wanted to own our own pinball machine. The problem is, they take up a lot of space and, after a while, that one table layout might get a little boring. If only there were one that we could set up and change around ourselves. Now, thanks to the folks at Make & Play, there is. And it’s called Makerball.

This neat small-form wood and metal pinball table actually ships flat-packed, so you get to set it up completely from start to finish. There is a set of instructions that help you put together the bare bones of the table in about 30-60 minutes, but once that’s done you’ve got free reign to individualize and shape your table layout completely. If you’re not sure how to make your own obstacles, don’t worry – the set comes with a starter kit. What’s even cooler is that it comes with DIY electronics (a microcontroller, wiring, and conductive copper foil) as well, so you can keep score via the Make & Play app on your smartphone. This super cool build-your-own pinball machine is available to back on Kickstarter right now starting at about $246.
