Mahindra Roxor

What initially began seven decades ago under licensing from Willys, Indian-born Mahindra has been in the off-road vehicle assembly game for many years – including notable releases such as their Scorpio SUV, MM540, and THAR as well as rugged side-by-sides. Now, a new iteration is making its way into the Western Hemisphere.

Built right here in the US – Detroit to be specific – the all-new ROXOR comes equipped to handle any level of backcountry touring. It features a steel body situated atop a steel frame, and under the hood is a 2.5-liter turbo diesel 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed automotive manual transmission at your disposal. Obviously, this AWD vehicle boasts a notable output for its size – clocking in at 75” high x 148” in length x 62” wide – with 62 horses and 144 ft-lbs of torque. It’s also relatively lightweight at 3,035 lbs yet offers a towing capacity of 3,490 lbs. Large 16-inch wheels are also wrapped around off-road friendly radial tires with an automotive-sized front disc brake work to stop things on a dime as well. And while the ROXOR isn’t street legal – topping out at 45mph – we doubt this is the type of vehicle you’d want to take on the asphalt anyway. Each example is made to order with prices starting at $15,499 and up depending on what additional features you wish to add.
