Sometimes, when people go overboard with their hobbies, society benefits from their obsessive genius. The latest example we’ve found is with the story of these painstakingly crafted motorcycle models out of Spain.

Pere Tarragó is the man who has taken his lifelong hobby to the extreme, building 1:5 and 1:6 models of classic motorcycles. While they might not be household names to Americans (Montesa, Bultaco, CZ, MV Agusta), they’re no less amazing to behold, as Tarragó creates all his own measurements, plans and parts using authentic motorcycle building techniques and his custom tools. That means making sure the wheels actually roll and the brakes actually stop. After assembling the bike, he then takes it apart and applies the polishing, nickel, chrome platuing, decoration or painting as necessary. The re-assembly process then takes up to 400 hours to complete. Yes, if you ever get accidentally shrunk down to Ant Man size, this man has your motorcycle. [Via]
