There was a time when sledding was nothing more than child’s play. Those days are long gone thanks to David Sellers’ ability not only to dream, but to follow through on his dreams with the release of the Mad River Rocket Sled.

For decades, the Vermont based architect has been perfecting this adult sled, looking to turn backcountry sledding into a full-fledged men’s sport. The compact sled is made from durable polyethylene, and has been outfitted with a set of foam ribbed foam knee pads, along with an easy off strap to keep you secured to the sled. Using your hands to pivot, users can fly down the snowy slopes in a way we never thought imaginable. Watch the video below. [Purchase]
