Mad Men’s 1969 Mid-Century Modern Sets
AMC’s Mad Men is one of our favorite television shows of all time. While we love Don Draper, along with many of the other cast members, we are just as enthralled by the mid-century sets the actors shoot each scene in – right down to the abundance of classic furniture used throughout.
The good folks at Interior Design magazine took some time to sit down with the show’s creator, Matthew Wiener, to not only discuss these amazing sets, but also include an entire photo series detailing each specific set. You have everything from the SC&P offices (we’re glad they finally decided to shorten it) to our favorite space – the Drapers’ New York apartment complete with that badass sunken living room. There’s even some shots of Megan Draper’s California-based bungalow. All of these spaces transport you through time, taking you right to 1969.
