Macallan Peter Blake & Valerio Adami 60-Year Old Whiskies

Mar 19, 2018

Category: Vices

Two of what’s believed to be the most highly coveted and rare Macallan whiskies ever bottled are slated to go up for auction at the Bonhams Rare and Fine Wine and Whisky Sale this May in Hong Kong.

Both bottles are 60-year-old expressions that feature labels by the likes of Sir Peter Blake (who also happened to co-create the famed Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover for The Beatles) and Valerio Adami (known for a particular and peculiar artistic aesthetic). Only 12 of each were bottled and labeled in 1986 and the duo is expected to fetch upwards of $586,000 when they hit the auction block on May 18th.
