The M/Y Adastra Carbon Yacht Is The Definition Of Aquatic Luxury
If you’re a prominent businessman who’s looking to enamor clients with luxurious business trips and extravagant outings, it’s hard to find a catalyst as mesmerizing as the yacht. But not just any yacht will do. In the case of famed Hong Kong businessman Antony Marden, a bespoke (and over-the-top) yacht, dubbed Adastra, was the perfect boat to boast his societal standing.
Although the M/Y Adastra was built to ferry Marden’s clients wherever they deemed fit, the prolific businessman has decided to part ways with his beloved boat. It was delivered in 2012 by McConaghy Boats, boasting a speedy orientation, seaworthy design, and luxurious maritime structure, courtesy of Britain’s John Shuttleworth. A carbon fiber superstructure gives way to the boat’s multitude of enhancements, including a glass and kevlar hull, Nomex honeycomb core, and Caterpillar C18 main engine, which is capable of producing over 1,150 horsepower. Construction aside, the Adastra boasts a number of lavish attributes, like a full-width master bedroom and bath, an illustrious, on-deck lounge area, and two guest cabins for those lucky enough to be invited along. Better yet, the yacht has a viable cruising range of 10,000 nautical miles — meaning you’ll be able to sail in style, wherever your heart desires. Head to Adastra’s website if you’d like to be the next owner of the $12,000,000 boat.
