These days we have a smart version of everything. Smart phones, smart watches, smart thermostats. The list goes on and on. It seems that almost everything we use is becoming “smart,” so why not cook on a smart grill?

Well that’s exactly what the Lynx Smart Grill is. Already having a background in building high-end grills, Lynx decided it was time to get into the “connected” world. The secret lies in the brand’s My Chef technology which lets you voice-activate the entire grilling process. Simply tell the grill what kind of meat you’re cooking, how you like your meat cooked, and you’re set. All you have to do is throw the meat on the grill. It even comes with an app that lets you track your meat’s progress, along with giving you an alert when the meat is cooked to your liking. As a built-in safety feature, the grill will power down if it hears no commands for 30-minutes after firing up. While it might take a bit of the fun out of grilling, we could certainly see this doing well with people who want to spend more time socializing with family and friends, and less time hovering around the grill.
