Classic Range Rover aficionados have a soft spot for their vintage models, with platforms produced from the 1970s until the mid-1990s taking precedence. Sadly, the petrol-powered off-roaders have become increasingly difficult to operate and maintain in the modern era, especially with newer, more efficient models on the horizon. That’s why Lunaz, one of the industry’s leading producers of classic, electrified vehicles, has taken it upon itself to create a limited-to-50 run of history’s most renowned luxury SUV.
The Lunaz Classic Electric Range Rover program is slated to launch in full-swing next year, with 50 proposed units planned for initial release. Inspired by the requests (and feedback) from the company’s followership, both “Town” and “Country” specification Range Roves will be available upon request, focusing primarily on the enhancement of driver- and rear-seat comfort. Following a full, bare-metal restoration, each of Lunaz’s unique examples will be re-engineered to accept the company’s proprietary electric powertrain, pairing seamlessly with the vehicle’s updated, off-road suspension system, four-wheel drive integration, and elevated interior design elements. As an aside, Lunaz also claims that it will work with customers to create a truly tailormade vehicle, providing customizable options for upholstery, leather/wood peripherals, and bolstered entertainment systems. If you’re interested in acquiring one of the outfit’s first 50 vehicles, be prepared to spend upwards of $328,000.
