Luminox and Bear Grylls go together like outdoor survivalism and grub-eating, so it’s no surprise that the rugged watchmakers and adventuring TV star have an ongoing partnership. Their latest collaboration is the Luminox Bear Grylls AIR Series, and it’s perfectly suited for any high-flying thrill-seeker.
The new watch, which Grylls himself helped design and develop, features a quartz worldtime movement that displays the current time in 24 time zones around the world via a bright-orange GMT hand. Unlike traditional worldtimer watches that display cultural and financial centers, the AIR Series labels its bidirectional CARBONOX bezel with cities that are home to the world’s premier special forces. In other words, there’s no New York or Paris on this worldtimer. The watch is also built to handle pretty much any situation, with a stainless steel case, AR-coated sapphire crystal, 200m water-resistance, and Luminox’s always-on light technology. The Luminox Bear Grylls AIR Series is available on a Cordura strap for $695, or on a Milanese mesh bracelet for $795.
