You don’t have to be in a college dorm room to like the way light-ropes look, but unfortunately a lot of them are so cheaply made that we end up leaving them in the past with those other poor dorm room decisions. Or at least that was the case before the folks at Power Practical developed the Luminoodle Color and Basecamp light ropes.
These new ropes are an improvement on the company’s successful first iteration, but this time around the designers have produced both a 20-foot Basecamp model alongside a 5-foot long Camp model – both of which offer 14 different colors of illumination. Each one also includes a remote control, in-line controls, a dimmer, strobe/fade settings, magnetic sliders, and quick straps for setting up wherever you need them. The Color was built for lighting smaller areas, with a 450-lumen output, while the Basecamp pumps out 3,000 lumens. Whether you’re looking to light up the camp site, or finish off your living room decor, Lumindoodle’s got something for everyone. [Purchase]
