The LUME Traveler Adventure Trailer was created by Hein van de Laar, a man who — by his own admission — loves nature, but does not enjoy the wonders of camping. The result is the Lume Traveler, a camper trailer that comes in three different versions, all of which are equipped for adventures into the wilderness.
The LUME is crafted from aluminum, like the Airstreams that preceded it. But this camper trailer is much more compact than the behemoths that set the standard in the 1950s and ’60s. At around 6.5 x 6.5 feet, the LUME is a neat little nest that can be tucked anywhere — in a garage, a parking spot, or underneath a tiny tree. True to van de Laar’s wishes, the interior is cushy and comfortable, with walls upholstered in natural wool felt, a teak floor, and black leather adorning the interior. A 100W solar panel helps juice up the vehicle for your journeys, so you can explore on a full charge. The cherry on top is the open roof, which allows you to sleep under a blanket of stars from the comfort of your warm, fuzzy bed.
