UNIQLO Partners With The Louvre For A Classic Art-Themed Clothing Capsule

Japanese clothing label, UNIQLO has taken part in numerous collaborative projects over its expansive 70-year history with world-famous museums such as New York City’s MoMA and London’s Tate Modern. Though for its latest joint effort, UNIQLO has teamed up with what is almost certainly the most coveted and legendary art museum on Earth, the Louvre, to deliver a clothing capsule highlighting some of the museum’s most celebrated works.

Motivated by the shared belief that art and expression are intrinsic qualities that make us human, the project aims to shine a light on some of the Parisian palace’s most significant pieces — including the Jocond, the Venus of Mito, and the Mona Lisa. As such, the capsule is comprised of four men’s hoodies and half-a-dozen graphic tees sporting imagery found in the world-famous museum, as well as a range of women’s apparel items. What’s more, the strategic partnership also includes support for the museum’s family-focused Mini-Discovery Tour, as well as its increasingly popular Free Saturday Night admissions. Scheduled for a release on February 4, 2021, the Louvre Museum x UNIQLO Clothing Capsule Collection starts at $20.
