British car manufacturer Lotus has made a bad habit of releasing special editions. Nowadays it seems like there’s a new one every week – so it takes a lot to catch our eye. And that’s why we want to tell you about their very impressive 3-Eleven 430. More than just being new, it’s their fastest road-legal ride to date.

430 bhp might not seem like much in today’s car world – but this little roadster gets a major bump up in the rankings thanks to its absurdly light weight (only 2,028 lbs total), which can be credited largely to its full carbon bodywork. That distinct combination gives the topless racer the ability to hit speeds of up to 180 mph and go from 0-60 in an impressive 3.1 seconds. For reference, that’s quicker than most of Porsche’s available 911 models. But this little speedster is supremely limited, as only 20 will ever be made. And once they’re gone, that’s the last of the 3-Elevens. Pricing starts at $143,000.
