Lord Street Warehouse by Richard Smith
If you’ve ever had to live in a garage before, be prepared to become filled with envy as you look at Richard Smith’s latest project, the Lord Street Warehouse.
This car repair shop in Sydney has been transformed into a beyond livable housing unit that sports beautiful interior design. While it doesn’t look all-too-impressive on the outside, what’s inside is glorious. It includes concrete floors, modern furniture and white-painted brick walls, with the structural beams exposed to provide a stylish touch. Globe lights fill each room with light. Sliding doors have also been added for easy access to a private patio. It’s rugged, but still has a modern touch. We’re not quite sure why there appears to be a ladder in the bathroom, but other than that, this is one uniquely designed conversion home.
