The Longines Spirit was already on the shortlist for the best everyday watch currently on the market, but now the luxury pilot’s watch may have just leaped to the top of that list in the form of the new Spirit Titanium.
The Longines Spirit Titanium, as you may have guessed, is a Spirit with a case made from lightweight titanium rather than the standard version’s stainless steel. But there’s actually more going on than just a material upgrade (though the upgrade is significant, as Longines is using premium Grade 5 titanium). The new watch also has a cleaner layout thanks to its absence of a date window, allowing for better symmetry on its new sandblasted anthracite dial. Mellow gold now adorns the hands and indices for a retro-but-not-too-retro look, while Blue-Line Super-LumiNova gives off a modern icy-blue glow in low-light conditions. Finally, like all Spirits, the Titanium version is a COSC-certified chronometer that boasts 100m water resistance. The Longines Spirit Titanium is priced at $2,650 on a custom-developed nylon NATO strap or $2,950 on a matching titanium bracelet.
