Lix: World’s Smallest 3D Printing Pen

Any lingering desires to carry loose leaf paper around were snuffed out long ago by the digital revolution. But what about the urge to doodle? That’s like, built into the human spirit or something. With Lix, the world’s smallest 3D printing pen, that urge can be tapped into anywhere, anytime, without the need for paper.

Much like 3D printers, Lix melts and cools colored plastic in midair, letting you create rigid and free-standing structures in any shape you can imagine. The hot-end nozzle of the pen gets its power from a USB 3.0 port, while the plastic filament ABS/PLA flows through the aluminum bodied pen thanks to a patented mechanism. It promises to make life easier for designers, architects, and of course, the doodler in all of us. [Purchase]
