The new year looks to take off in the right direction with the release of LG’s new compact laser projector. It’s small, produces a high-quality display, and the weighs just 4.6 pounds. Now all LG has to do is give us a reasonable price point for this little guy and we’ll have a hit.
Dubbed the LG ProBeam, the projector features a 1080p resolution and up to 2000 lumens of bright light. It’s small enough to boast a table-friendly stature yet powerful enough to get any movie night or football game started off right. It also supports wireless mirroring thanks to LG’s Miracast technology, allowing you to project a movie from a smartphone, and the little projector can also transmit audio via Bluetooth with its Sound Sync Adjustment feature. The ProBeam sets up with ease with assistance from four corner and auto keystone features and comes equipped with LG’s webOS Smart TV platform and remote so you can get Netflix and chillen in no time. No word on pricing just yet, though LG plans on unveiling it at CES in Las Vegas starting January 3rd.
