While home TV and surround sound systems have experienced major technological leaps and bounds in only the last few years alone, going out to the theater still remains the best movie-going experience, at least from an audio and visual perspective. LG, however, is now aiming to bring the theater-going experience into the home with the debut of its enormous new, wall-sized DVLED Extreme Home Cinema displays.
These Direct View LED (or “DVLED”) displays range in size from 81″ up to a whopping 325″ and are offered in 2K, 4K, and 8K versions. These state-of-the-art displays use up to 33 million individual diodes and each also boasts an extremely high color gamut, even in direct sunlight. What’s more, each LG DVLED Extreme Home Cinema Display is rated to last for 100,000 hours of use, meaning it’s expected to deliver cutting-edge visuals for a full decade. Reportedly valued at around $30,000, the entire LG DVLED Extreme Home Cinema Display lineup is available for order now and requires professional installation.
