Lexus X John Elliott Air Force 1 Tires

Feb 14, 2019

Designer John Elliott reimagined one of Nike’s most popular silhouettes by modifying the uppers to give the Nike Air Force 1 sneakers a fresh look. Elliott’s shoe design caught the eye of Lexus, leading them to team up with the designer to create the custom Air Force 1 Tires aka “Sole of the UX.”

At Elliott’s New York Fashion Week after-party, the 2019 Lexus UX was presented with the clean white sneaker tires. Looking closely at the tires, you’ll notice plenty of familiar retro traits of the Air Force 1, including the famous Nike swoosh logo, white faux pebbled leather, and stepped metal air valves similar to the metal lace tips of the sneakers for a head-turning effect. Unfortunately, the one-off Air Force 1 tires aren’t for sale, at least not at the moment, but the “Sole of the UX” will be making appearances throughout the country.
