As we delve deeper into the world of capable all-electric platforms, more manufacturers have felt an incessant need to create something a bit more outlandish. While many of today’s modern vehicles boast a recognizable — and safe — silhouette, Lexus has decided to stray from the path; and now, they’ve gifted the automotive industry the LF-30 Electrified, a prototypical platform that looks like its straight out of the future.
Cyberpunk parallels aside, the Lexus LF-30 Electrified is a visually-astounding vehicle that illustrates the future of our favorite four-wheeled luxury platforms. It boasts a sleek, wedge-shaped silhouette, and a massive glass cockpit that spans the entire length of the car in an attempt to enhance its aerodynamic prowess. To gain access to the platform’s interior, a pair of large gullwing doors have been implemented, calling upon near-seamless integration to frame the Lf-30’s futuristic interior. At each wheel, you’ll find a powerful electric engine that serves to propel the vehicle forward, producing 536-horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque in total, and allowing it to rocket from 0 to 62 in 3.8 seconds. Below, a robust 110 kWh lithium-ion battery pack has been mounted to the vehicle’s lightweight frame, providing drivers with over 310 miles of capable range. As for its futuristic capabilities, you’ll be surprised to hear that the LF-30 will feature both an autonomous driving mode and a Teammate chauffeur mode to help you park, as well as a Lexus Airporter drone in the rear, which will assist you with luggage and other physical tasks. We’ve only scratched the surface with Lexus’ new vehicle, so head over to the company’s website for more information.
