As photography enthusiasts we certainly see the need for something that provides a nice in between from your iPhone camera and a full-fledged DSLR shooter. Product designer Vincent Sall felt the same way introducing this beautifully crafted Leica X3 Concept Camera.

The Swedish based designer used a lens cap as the inspiration for this ultra compact shooter, fusing technology that we love from our smartphone cameras with specs that we need from our DSLR. The camera will allow users to transfer photos instantly to any handheld device or table of your choice through Bluetooth connectivity. Simply flip out the lens to power on the device, and from there use it just like you would any other camera. While the specs of the concept are still going through some polishing work, the design is stunning to say the least. “This project is about filling the gap between big cameras with great image quality and smartphone cameras with limited quality/control,” Sall explained about the Leica X3 Concept.
