Ledlenser’s IP68-Rated P7R Signature Boasts Autofocusing & 2,000 Lumens

While the EDC sector’s influx in popularity has kickstarted and reinvigorated the evolution of numerous product spaces, no one piece of gear has witnessed as massive strides as the EDC flashlight segment. Not only have these pocketable torches grown markedly more potent, but manufacturers have managed to pull this off while simultaneously delivering them in increasingly compact and rugged forms. And very few flashlights demonstrate this reality quite like Ledlenser’s P7R Signature.

Part of the Portland-based company’s uncompromising Signature Series, this top-shelf flashlight features a hard-anodized alloy housing and a single Xtreme LED emitter that affords the 6.2” torch a whopping 2,000-lumen output and an equally impressive 1,083’ maximum range. An IP68 rating means the light can be submerged in nearly 5’ of water for as long as half-an-hour without letting in a drop, thanks to the use of Flex Sealing technology. Weighing less than half-a-pound (or 7.1oz to be exact), the P7R Signature also boasts four different lumen power modes, plus Strobe, S.O.S, Position, and Blink modes. Sold with a wall-mounted magnetic charge system, the P7R Signature is equipped with a 4,800Ah Lithium-ion battery that gives it a maximum runtime of 90 hours, though even on its highest setting, it can still operate few several hours. Other highlights on this high-end model include natural color reproduction, a patented Advanced Focus System, and an additional red-light function on the side of the housing. Available now, the Ledlenser P7R Signature is priced at $200.
