The car industry’s electric revolution is in full swing and, while we’re still waiting for some of the bigger brands to inevitably get onboard, smaller customization brands have begun to trickle in with exceptional non-petrol vehicles. The latest company to get on board is actually a bit of a surprise, as East Coast Defender is known for crafting big, growling classic 4x4s — but they’re now making fully-electric custom Land Rover Defenders.
For reference, ECD isn’t replacing their gasoline and diesel powertrain options. Rather, they’re adding a new option in a Tesla-powered platform that offers up 220 miles per charge, a 0-60 time of just 5.5 seconds, and it can fully charge up in just five hours. On top of that performance, the AWD electric powertrain is still optimized for off-road travel, ECD can incorporate any of their existing bespoke options into the builds (both internal and external), and the whole project is available now. Reach out to East Coast Defender for more information on availability and pricing.
