The guys who run East Coast Defender, based out of Kissimmee, had a close relationship with Defenders growing up. Brits by birth, they grew up just 40 miles outside of the Lode Lande factory where the iconic truck was produced. Now, years later, this small team customizes the same trucks they grew up working with on farms. This Land Rover Defender 130 dubbed Project Spectre is their most recent build.
Built for more than just looking good (although…damn), this 4×4 is perfect for jamming through off-road terrain or nasty weather. Under the hood is a 4.6-liter V8 RPI Stage Performance Engine that drives power through a 5 speed automatic transmission. With big LED light upgrades throughout the vehicle, 18 inch blacked-out Boost wheels, and a 2 -nch Terrafirma lift kit – it’ll be good to take on the roughest roads you can throw at it. While the Defender 130 is rugged where it needs to be, it has a plush interior. With heated hand-stitched leather Corbeau front seats, a JBL audio system, and a Momo sports steering wheel – the guys at East Coast Defender have set you up to get the best of both worlds.
