With luxurious amenities, a plush interior, solid performance, and a wholly rugged exterior, Land Rover’s Defender has long been a go-to model for those interested in piecing together a premium off-road or overland build. So, it was all the more surprising to see that England-based tuning outfit, Urban Automotive recently opted to employ its signature up-specced supercar treatment on the new Defender.
Starting with a brand new Defender, the donor’s been lowered and outfitted with a set of 22” Y-spoke Urban Automotive XW2 wheels. A side luggage box and full bespoke roof rack provide plenty of storage space while elements like the custom fifth-wheel cover, rear roof spoiler, one-off side steps, and low-profile LED light bar help to further blend the custom LR’s off-road-meets-city theme. The factory powertrain goes untouched, aside from receiving a set of custom blacked-out exhaust tips. The Milton Keynes-based outfit finished off the transformation with a NERO Design wet carbon fiber wrap adorning almost every square inch of the Defender, minus the roof rack’s exposed metal. This particular Urban Automotive Defender’s already spoken for, though if you’re interested in commissioning your own build or seeing UA’s massive catalog of aftermarket parts, you can visit the link below.
