Land Rover has made a name for themselves by designing urban assault vehicles. They construct safari trucks, and some of the most hard-core survivalist vehicles on the road today. Even with this decidedly tough image, there’s still room to grow, as evidenced by the Urban 110 Utility Special Edition from the wrenchers at Urban Automotive.

Their version takes the original Defender – a badass off-roader in its own right – and adds 180 horsepower to it by reconfiguring the exhaust and filtering system. They gave it LED lights and black contrasts, then turned the interior into a plush leather playground with sport-tuned accessories. It rides like you’re heading to the corner store to get a PowerBall ticket even when climbing hills and fording streams. Tough and tender seems to be the motto, though this Defender is no dainty debutante, however it’s dressed up. [Purchase]
