There are few designs within the automotive world that carry the same renown as the Lancia Stratos. And it’s not without good reason, for it was penned by Marcello Gandini, the man behind such petrol-powered masterpieces as the Lamborghini Miura, the Bugatti EB110, and the Maserati Ghibli II.
Ever the artist to tackle ambitious concept cars, Yasid Oozeear has proven once again just how broad his range can be. The project pictured before you — based on a Lancia Stratos — manages to honor its roots whilst balancing a decidedly future-forward aesthetic better than any we’ve seen. At the front, Oozeear has accentuated the wedge’s pointed nose with an aggressive chin splitter and a set of sculpted fenders. Moving around to the side of the car, you’ll find it sits considerably lower, with a set of large five-spoke wheels shoehorned to fit beneath a curvaceous widebody kit. However, this concept’s most eye-catching feature is easily its rear end, a dramatic visual experience in which an integrated spoiler extends over a full-width light bar and some illuminated Stratos badging. Done up in matte black paint and carbon fiber, it’s truly a sight to see. Check it out at the link below.
