Lamborghini Drops The Top On Its 819HP V12 Sián Roadster Supercar

Last year, Lamborghini’s Sian made its debut, enamoring the world’s supercar audience and setting the bar as yet another transcendental model from the brand. Just over half a year later, we’re being treated to a second, limited-edition evaluation of the Sian namesake — and this time, it’s topless.

The Lamborghini Sian Roadster arrives as the brand’s first roofless iteration of the performance-focused supercar, and boasts a staggering 819 horsepower, overall. But, for once, the company’s visionary V12 engine isn’t the most newsworthy inclusion (or attraction) for prospective buyers. Instead, it’s the Sian’s newly-adopted supercapacitor, which marks the first time that this unique technology has been utilized in both a hybrid solution and materials-science application. As a result, the Raging Bull has been touted as the most powerful platform that Lamborghini has ever produced, as well as the company’s most efficient vehicle, to date, thanks to its immense energy storage (when compared to vehicles that incorporate a traditional lithium-ion battery). But if you’re just here for an adrenaline-inducing experience, don’t worry. The car will rocket from 0-62 in under 2.9 seconds, before topping out at a blistering 217 miles-per-hour. Head to Lamborghini’s website to learn more about the limited-to-19 wonder.
