Celebrating the century mark in anything is a big deal. Lamborghini knows this. Which is exactly why they’ve released the ultra limited Centenario Roadster to celebrate what would be Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday.

Although the late founder of the Italian auto maker passed away back in 1993, his name lives on through his beloved brand with vehicles like this 12-cylinder, 770 horsepower beast. The Centenario breaks 62mph in 2.9 seconds from a dead stop on its way to a blistering fast top speed of 217 mph. And while power numbers are exciting, getting your supercar to a complete standstill from 62 mph in just over 100 feet is just as important. It’s lightweight in design thanks to a carbon fiber monocoque frame and bodywork, and also features Lamborghini’s new rear wheel steering, increasing turning agility at lower speeds and stability at higher ones. Opening up the doors reveals a light brown Bianco Polar leather along with a layout that reduces turbulence in the passenger compartment – which helps when casually cracking 150mph on the freeway. Only 20 of these beauties will ever hit the road; all with a price tag north of $2.3 million and all of which have already been accounted for.
