Every time we think the Aventador can’t possibly get any crazier, Lamborghini heads back to the drawing board to dream up something better than ever. This time around the Italian auto maker has chopped the top, and given the supercar their Superveloce treatment.

We’ve seen glimpses and concept versions of the much rumored Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV Roadster, but now we get to feast our eyes upon this beauty in all its glory. The new model sports a carbon monocoque, magneto-rheological dampers, and a ton of carbon fiber components to help keep the weight down without compromising the strength of the vehicle. Under the hood (or trunk if you will), is a 6.5-liter V12 generating 750 horsepower (hence the name), helping this thing rocket from 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 217 mph. The model marks a milestone for Lamborghini, seeing that it’s the first topless Lambo to sport the SV tag. The brand decided to keep things limited, with only 500 examples being built – all of which carry a price tag of $530,075. We imagine they’ll have no issues getting all of them accounted for.
