La Pointe Cabin By L’abri Architects
Canada’s Poisson Blanc Regional Park is home to much more than beautiful wildlife, pronounced seasons, and towering pines — it’s also the perfect breeding ground for some of the most unique A-frame cabins to grace the Northern hemisphere.
La Pointe acts as an additive to Poisson’s already mesmerizing landscape, combining a legendary design, triangular geometry, and off-grid principles to create an isolated escape that’s perfect for tiny-home connoisseurs. The “micro-shelter” is accessed by foot trail only 10 minutes from L’abri’s reception property and provides guests with a warm, minimalist interior space that features a kitchenette, a canted cathedral ceiling, and a sleeping area that can only be accessed by ladder. When denizens aren’t spending their time bathing in the home’s benevolent sunlight, they can gaze upon their forested surroundings via a series of wide-eyed, front-facing windows that give way to expansive views of the reservoir below.
