Homer’s favorite snack, a pink sprinkled donut, is an image that has been synonymous with The Simpsons for nearly as long as the cartoon has been on the air (almost 30 years). But, unless you took a trip to Universal Studios or waltzed into a 7-Eleven during their limited Kwik-E-Mart promotion, it was impossible to get an official real-world version of the treat. Now, however, the show has teamed up with none other than Krispy Kreme to bring this pop-culture pastry to the masses – and they’re calling it, appropriately, the D’ohnut.
This isn’t just deep-fried dough covered in sugary frosting, however. It’s actually a combination of the brand’s signature glazed donut variety hand-dipped in white chocolate truffle with strawberry flavor and a flourish of rainbow sprinkles – upping the ante on this iconic snack. There is, however, one small catch: you can only get it if you live in Australia… for now. Here’s to hoping they bring this sugary delight to the rest of the world sometime soon.
