Well, we can all thank the former Governator of California for doing his part in developing an all-electric SUV worthy enough to garner our undivided attention. Also in conjunction with Kreisel, this finished product is this electric G-Class, an intersection of off-road prowess, all electric power, and sheer luxury that makes this project so special.

Under the hood two electric motors provide this all-wheel drive vehicle with upwards of 360kW of power, enabling the luxury SUV with acceleration statistic comparable to that of your contemporary sports car. We’re talking 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds and a combined power output of 482hp. Buyers will also enjoy 186 miles of driving range on a full charge and all the luxuries and instruments of your standard G-Wagon remain intact in the vehicle’s interior. The Kreisel is currently in it’s prototype stages and enjoying a beta test from none other than Schwarzenegger himself. If anything, projects like this bring hope that the future of electric vehicles need not lend itself only to mid-sized sedans.
