Kreisel All-Electric Hummer H1

Prius owners better watch out. Earlier this week Kreisel Electric presented a vehicle we all honestly thought we’d never see on the road – an all-electric Hummer H1. That’s right, the former stereotypical gas-guzzler has since ‘gone green’ so to speak, backed of course by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.

Superfluous details aside, we’ll get down to basics here since what’s most important with this iteration lies under the hood. In this instance, it’s equipped with high-performance Kreisel batteries with 100 kWh capacity along with two electric motors on both the front and rear axles for an output of 360 kW (or 483 hp) and a top speed of 75 mph. This powerplant also allows for a range of up to 186 miles on a full charge. For comparison, the standard version consumes about 6.3 gallons of fuel for every 62 miles and emits over 470g of CO2 per mile. Unfortunately for buyers, Kreisel doesn’t plan on producing any more of these iterations. However, this project does serve as a harbinger into the technology at the helm of this Austrian-based workshop and we’re excited to see what’s next for the brand.
