Kitchen Safe Timed Lock

We’ve been known to mow through a few boxes of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies in one sitting, and apparently we aren’t the only ones who feel the need to eat everything in sight. The Kitchen Safe allows you to keep your goodies in the house, but enjoy them at a more controlled pace.

The device is simple. Place any item you’d like in the safe, rotate the dial to set the timer, tap the dial to activate the lock, and there you have it. The lock will not be opened again until the predetermined time limit has been reached. This could also be great for kids who play too many video games. Simply throw the controller into the device, and give it a few hours for them to finish up their homework. The project is currently looking for funding through Kickstarter.
