Kingston Digital Ultimate GT 2TB Flash Drive

One of the recurring themes amongst computer technology is the desire to continue to make things smaller without sacrificing capability. Computers were, at one time, the size of entire buildings. Now we all carry one with us in our pockets. And while that’s impressive on its own, there are still innovations that surprise us now and again. The newest offering from Kingston Digital, their DataTraveler Ultimate GT 2TB flash drive, is one such innovation.

Having already set the bar with their 1 terabyte flash drive in 2013 (which, until now, held the title for largest capacity flash drive ever made), Kingston has taken it upon themselves to double down on the storage of that device. Now, with this impressive 2 terabyte version, users can store up to 70 hours of 4K video, over 1000 feature-length films, or literal millions of text files – all in a pocket-sized format. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s also stored in a shock-resistant zinc alloy casing to protect everything stored within. There’s no word yet on price, but we will be looking forward to when the Ultimate GT hits the market. [Purchase]
