Kickr: Electric Longboard Motor

Dec 4, 2019

Category: Tech

The concept of electric skateboards is not a new one by any stretch of the imagination. The concept of transforming your existing, pedal powered longboard into an electric vehicle is though. That’s exactly what the team at Kickr have created with their innovative product.

With the ability to work on virtually any longboard, Kickr is revolutionizing the way we get from Point A to Point B on our skateboards. After years of revision, the team created a beautiful, non obtrusive product that can be installed in a matter of minutes. Simply strap on the battery, remove a nut, and spin the motor mount on. The throttle is controlled by your feet, giving you the ability to zip around town at speeds of up to 20 mph. The Kickr takes 2 hours to charge completely, and will last for 8 miles on a single charge. Watch the video after the jump, and support Kickr on Kickstarter.
