Ken Block’s Gymkhana Nine

With the impending release of Forza Horizon 3 on the Xbox One, Ken Block – the madman of rally car racing – and the folks at Hoonigan have released another entry in their ongoing Gymkhana series. This time, they’ve made their way to the shores of Lake Erie, taking to a seemingly abandoned industrial park in Buffalo, New York. And, as he has been since 2010, Block is behind the wheel of a Ford hatchback. This time, it’s a 600-horsepower Ford Focus RS RX fitted, for the first time ever, with fifteet52 Turbomac wheels that the rally car driver co-designed himself.

While this entry may not be the most daring of the series – what do you really expect after eight other impressive tread-shredding entries? – there is still some seriously impressive driving. From drifting over a railroad crossing in front of a moving train, to hanging his back tires off the edge of an at least 10 foot drop into the Great Lake below, to doing figure-eights on a moving draw-bridge, Ken Block never ceases to amaze with both his sheer recklessness and clever rally-inspired routes around industrial spaces.
