For thousands of years, humans have been calculating and predicting celestial and planetary alignments and other phenomena, and while it might not carry the same religious weight or significance as they did in centuries past, this tradition continues being practiced all over the world. Obviously witnessing one of these events requires being at the right location on earth at the right time, and an upcoming 2020 solar eclipse is poised to occur over the mountains of Patagonia in Argentina. In response, luxury travel agency, Black Tomato is offering a unique glamping experience to take in the eclipse.
Starting with a stay at a luxury lodge, the experience then transports its guests to a collection of geodesic dome-style tents that have been set up in the Collon Cura Valley along the snow-capped mountain-encompassed banks of Argentina’s Limay river where telescopes, glasses, and other eclipse and camping gear is provided, along with gourmet food, some local ceremonies and rituals, and numerous options for supplementary adventure like hiking and whitewater rafting. Officially dubbed the “Journeys To Come” experience, the eclipse is scheduled to occur for around two minutes at approximately 4:15 PM on December 14, 2020.
