Autonomous lawn mowers used to be nothing more than a practical joke, but over the years products like the LawnBott SpyderEvo Robot Lawnmower have made robotic lawnmowers a reality.

With the popularity of these devices quickly picking up, it was only a matter of time before John Deere got in on the action. The iconic brand has just introduced their John Deere Tango E5, and it operates on many of the same principles as the previously viewed SpyderEvo, only with John Deere’s name behind it. The unit can operate in any area up to 1,800 square meters determined by a pre-installed boundary wire, and returns to its charging station when the battery gets low.
