To say that Joe Rogan’s career — which has taken him from being a stand-up comedian to a sitcom star, TV personality, UFC commentator, and now the host of a beloved podcast — has been unique is perhaps an understatement. But if one thing is certain, it’s that he’s a man’s man if there ever was one. And a man’s man needs a suitable ride, which is why he turned to Jonathan Ward (of Icon 4×4 fame) and his brand TLC to create this custom 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80.
Already an exceptional donor vehicle, this Land Cruiser boasts a number of upgrades that make it all the better without losing the spirit of the original ride. That includes a supercharged GM E-Rod LSA V8 engine, which is good for an impressive 556 horsepower, mated to a 4L65E automatic transmission. But it doesn’t stop there. TLC also equipped it with high-strength Chromoly steel RCV Performance CV axles, an extended-range fuel tank, a Front Runner combination roof rack/light bar, a WARN winch with a nylon line, and a couple of upgrades borrowed from their ICON sister brand. They even had the good sense to replace the seats with articulated ones from a BMW M5 for more versatility and comfort. All told, this is definitely an all-terrain ride fit for a comedy king like Rogan.
