Though only founded in 2006, JJJJound exudes timelessness, and the majority of its catalog wholeheartedly proves that. In another effort to showcase its subtle style sensibility, the Canadian clothier has come together with Padmore & Barnes to redesign the classic P404 boot silhouette.

The storied 88-year-old Irish shoemaker has manufactured footwear for the likes of countless brands, most notably Clarks, which owned the brand from 1964 to 1987. Uncoincidentally, the British brand’s iconic Wallabee silhouette came about in 1967, building off of the familiar-looking P404 silhouette that Padmore & Barnes had unveiled four years prior. The Wallabee remains one of Clarks’ most popular shoes to date all over the world, and it certainly owes P&B a bit of credit for its notoriety.

Again, JJJJound sticks to the classics, so the new collaborative P404 keeps its integrity with its original Moccasin design and tan Vegetable Nevada leather makeup. For comfort’s sake, the boot boasts a fully-lined interior and a pair of leather sock liners, then it’s finished off with a set of square-cut leather laces and sustainably-made crepe rubber soles courtesy of Padmore & Barnes itself. What’s more, the boot is simple to put on thanks to its leather loop pull tab, offering an element of functionality that remains as supple as the rest of the shoe.

Some shoes simply don’t age, and the P404 boot is yet another example. JJJJound’s joint effort with Padmore & Barnes will be available on the former’s website beginning July 8.
