Jeep Shortcut

Jeep is a brand that has produced some pretty killer vehicles over the years. But, the truth is, one of their original civilian vehicle models – the fabled Jeep CJ – still ranks at the top of the list. It’s just that good. And that’s what makes this recently revealed concept, the Shortcut, so enticing. It derives its styling from that very same WWII-era vehicle.

Based on a modern Wrangler, the Jeep Shortcut was designed in conjunction with Chrysler parts brand Mopar as a member of a fleet of vehicles built for the 50th Annual Easter Jeep Safari. It features a shortened body (reduced by a total of 26 inches); a unique grille, hood, tailgate, and wheel flares; custom chrome bumpers; 17″ red steel wheels; and a modified exhaust. Beneath the hood sits a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. And, while it is just a concept for now, this is definitely more in line with the kinds of stuff we’d like to see Jeep produce in the future.
