Jeep CJ66

We’re only day 2 into the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas but already we’re seeing some wild and crazy concepts getting unveiled from some of our favorite manufacturers. Take this Halloween-appropriate Frankenstein of a Jeep for instance, which happens to be a mashup of a Jeep CJ, Wrangler TJ, and Wrangler JK.

It’s quite the combination if you ask us, especially once delving a bit deeper into the actual make-up of the vehicle. Here, we have the body of the ’66 Jeep CJ that was then modified in its own right to fit atop the chassis of a Jeep Wrangler TJ. Once this was complete, these mad scientists then peppered in some final touches, i.e. bumpers and lights from the modern Wrangler JK. The CJ66 also roars to life thanks to the 5.7-liter Hemi pushing out 383 horses, hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission. It also boasts a set of 35-inch off-road tires, a Warn winch tucked behind the front bumper, a custom roll cage, rock sliders, and an onboard tire inflation system. Oh yeah, and custom hood latches, chains on the drop-down tailgate, and a set of Dodge Viper seats also round out this 4×4 beast quite well. Simply put, this thing is mean, and we’d hate to be on its bad side.
